Welcome to the Musician's Web Site of the DuPage Symphony
Orchestra. This web site is intended as a source of information for the
members of the DSO with regard to season program, rehearsal and concert
schedule as well as rehearsal and concert venues. In addition, the site
contains pages devoted to recommended recordings of the season repertoire
(including 30-second sound bites from the repertoire); a photo gallery with
photos from past DSO events, and a page containing links of interests to

Community Concert Center in downtown Naperville (Central Park)
We will be featuring the Naperville Park District Concert Dance Ensemble, performing two original choreography to the "Damnation of Faust" with full orchestra, among other dance-related selection performed just by the DSO. This concert is free of charge and open to the community.

Saturday, July 24, 2010 l 8:00 p.m.
Cantigny Park in Wheaton
Repertoire for this concert includes Smetana’s Moldau, Dvorak’s Symphony #8, and a variety of Czech songs and dances, plus soprano Diana Stoic as guest soloist.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate the night of the performance. This is a "Ravinia style" evening, so bring your blankets or chairs, a picnic and a bottle of wine, or other treats to enjoy under the stars during this annual summer event.

Young Artist Audition Winners
Announced!
The results of the 2010 Young Artists Audtions, held at Steinway of Chicago in Downer's Grove have been announced, and are as follows:
Michael Rau, violin, is the First Place Winner and will perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major, op. 25 at the March 20th Concert, and receive his $500 cash prize.
Michale won Honorable Mention two years ago in his first audition with our YAA. He is a senior at Downers Grove Sout High School, and a student of Amita Vamos of Evanston.
Our Second Place Winner is Alex Matranga, who performed Edward Greyson's "Tuba Concerto". He will receive the second place prize of $300. Alex is a senior at York Community High School, and a student of Cyndi Stark of Chicago.
Honorable Mention was awarded to Marina Stringley for her performance of "Mein Herr Marquis' by Johann Strauss. Marina is a senior at Willowbrook High School, and a student of tenor Marc Stindley of Villa Park.
